Shahbaz asks govt not to remove AC from Nawaz’s cell

People posting here are all eminent examples of why Pakistan is in the situation it is in. Forget about being a state founded as a homeland for Muslims....we are human beings and yet people are gloating over the potential killing by various means of an elderly person.

Let me ask did the Prophet ever curse his uncles who killed many Muslims? Did he curse Hind? What upbringing did you people have as children? Good Lord the man is in jail. Leave him be. Focus on good works.

This mob mentality is utterly disgraceful and really unproductive. I guarantee Imran Khan wouldn't shed one tear if any of you were to encounter difficulty. None of you would be allowed in his house. But somehow you're all foaming at the mouth like those hideous RSS animals and hoping for someone to be suffocated/burned/killed.

Do something for your nation that actually helps the people. Go donate some money for HIV meds for those kids in Rotadero. Or feed an orphan for a year. Or anything. For Gods sake stop this insanity.

What makes you think people here don't donate money for good causes? Do you monitor everyone's bank balances?
Get off your holier than thou pedestal and try to understand the anger towards a man who essentially is a modern day mafia leader who shamelessley stole from the very public who you want members here to help. People simply want a level playing field and not perks offered to the super, corrupt rich. Why should NS be given AC? Its detriment to handing out fair justice. He needs to pay genuinely for his crimes so others are deterred from doing the same. If people want him dead, why not? With all the money he stole there is no doubt many poor people have suffered and possibly died had that money been used on the public.

. .
Very crucial to debate about TV and AC lol

Government is wasting time and energy in useless activities when country is facing some serious crisis to deal with

.
Remove AC's and all other luxuries.

Remove the classes in jail. This colonial practice of elites enjoying luxuries even in jail should end.

I dont even understand whats with the AC and class in prisons?!

That is the proper due process: amend the relevant laws to forbid such luxuries for all prisoners across Pakistan. Then implement the change.

.
You know what to do when you know what hurts the enemy???

LAHORE: PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has asked the Punjab government to refrain from removing the air-conditioner from the prison cell of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as it will be violation of the medical board’s recommendations and adversely affect his already fragile health.

In a letter to the chief secretary on Saturday, the opposition leader in the National Assembly said attempts were being made to put the life of three-time premier in danger. He said the Punjab government had written to the IG Prisons to remove the air-conditioner in the cell of Nawaz Sharif.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had also declared during his visit to the US that he would have the air-conditioner and TV removed from the cell of Nawaz Sharif, he said. He said that according to the medical board constituted by the Buzdar administration, the room temperature of the cell of Nawaz Sharif at the Kot Lakhpat jail (where he is serving seven-year imprisonment in Al-Azizia Mills case) should be maintained at a comfortable level to prevent dehydration and possible deterioration of renal functions.

“I am appalled at the callousness depicted by the Home Department for omitting this pivotal point about Nawaz Sharif’s medical condition while writing to the IG Prisons asking him to remove facilities accorded to prisoners under the guise of impartial treatment,” he said and added that the blatant attempt at his life “shrouded in procedural vagueness reeks of political vendetta as the letter cites PM Khan’s wishes as the motive of the said correspondence.”

Shahbaz Sharif said the recommendations of the medical board of the Punjab government should be followed in letter and spirit and no political pressure be allowed to “contravene the rights of Nawaz Sharif.”

Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz met Nawaz Sharif in the jail. A good number of PML-N workers gathered outside the jail and chanted slogans in favour of their leadership and against Imran Khan and the PTI government.

Maryam Nawaz condemned the arrest of Irfan Saddiqui, former adviser to the Nawaz Sharif government.

“Shameful images. Sharam kero. And I am telling you, Jaali, Dummy Hakoomat is not behind the arrest. It is someone else & I know the nexus,” she tweeted.

PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said: “His arrest only shows the meanness of IK government. Mr Irfan Siddiqui is an honourable man such political victimisation of opponents only adds to their stature for holding on to their principled stand.”

He should worry about his cell not having a window, once he is convicted and thrown in prison for life, in-sha-Allah.

. .
we are human beings and yet people are gloating over the potential killing by various means of an elderly person

That that multi billion elderly to pay for all other elderlies in jail to have the same facilities as him too and then he can have it as well.

His own brother made the law that anyone convicted of corruption, murder, rape etc will not get B class and this law was created for their opponents who they put in jails.

Now Nawaz will have the same law created by his brother imposed on him!! So why this "elderly' card being played!?

.
I can never tell whose side you are on...by removing nawaz's AC and TV he is more likely return looted money. Which will help the country greatly.
Taking any side is not compulsory. Its medical report and government’s own doctors who are recommending the AC.

Let me know when you get any supposed looted wealth back by removing AC and TV from cell of Nawaz.. also what law of land allow you to let criminal set free by taking money form them. They should get punishment for their crimes if proven in court of law

.
That is the proper due process: amend the relevant laws to forbid such luxuries for all prisoners across Pakistan. Then implement the change.

Law exists where no such facilities to be provided, not even B class. Go search for the law passed by Showbaz's Punjab government!

.
.... also what law of land allow you to let criminal set free by taking money form them. They should get punishment for their crimes if proven in court of law

I don't get you. NAB law, which is currently the law of the land, provides for plea bargaining.

Do you know about exact amount which was looted by Nawaz that you want to take all of it back and let him go. Plea bargaining contributes towards more corruption in the country as the crooks know they can get a clean chit from the courts concerned even after they rob the country and its people. Their only requirement is the power of bargaining and contacts with the right persons so as to pay the least costs for their crimes and get away with as much loot as they can after paying back part of the loot to the exchequer and to the officials involved on behalf of the NAB.

Plea bargain concept exists in Pakistan only: SC
