here is an idea why doesn't ISI have a monitoring sections of money being transferred out of country and being transferred into the country. It will be a great help.

Pakistan has around 16 separate agencies that monitor all sorts in the country.

ISI is famous because of its involvement in external work.

I think they want to expand fauji group and already have such experts working and managing their industrial undertakings .It is better they not overly involve in economic matters as it will create fear in foreign investors due to excessive use of powers and lack of trust

Proof is in the pudding. Thing is we have no real idea on judging the capex/opex liquidity crunch stems from the inflation that is generated right now (esp of any import sensitive export industries)...compared to govt extraction/refund lever. We have to give a year or two to see the capital formation recovery (say as % of GDP), because that is key to breaking out (from these debt cycles) in any way more long term.

They've always had it. These cases against the Sharifs and Zardaris weren't built suddenly. It all depends on 'when', 'who', 'why' and of course 'if'.

There is no point of providing billions of subsidies to industry who are focused on local demand and dont want to export

Better direct that money to IT and other export industry

Its beyond me why a blanket tax relief was given in the past..(or why exports were taxed duting early years of PMLN)

Govt should stick to prompt refunds..it cannot hold funds anymore

that can only be if army will fund studies of capable retired officers and then provide them employment after getting the required higher education and make think tanks that are churning out research reports that promote army's point of view about the economy, foreign affairs and internal affairs as well as security strategic and geopolitical issues

Army should only do one job and that is defend the country militarily. They should keep up with technology and keep eyes on enemy and keep developing war skills.
The above things mentioned should be done by civilian govt. No institution should cross its limits, this eventually damages the state. The aim is to keep the state alive and healthy with functioning institutions doing their work like organs in a body.

Army is corrupt organisation. Just compare FWO build motorways with other companies in Pakistan. I don't know why they held this meeting, maybe they finally realised with decreasing defence budget that economy is more important then terrorist groups for self defence.

If its to start their own business then they should be stopped.

Weird thing about pakistan is. Pakistan Intelligence agency and army indulged in all sort of work but not what they are meant to do.
