A prominent member of the designated terror group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), Jaswinder Singh Multani, who is allegedly linked to the Ludhiana court blast case, was held in Germany on Monday.

A police officer said that during the investigation names of two suspects residing in Pakistan and Germany, both from banned Sikh organizations, have emerged. Sikhs For Justice is a designated terror group in India.

Intelligence agencies had earlier alerted about Harvinder Singh Sandhu, a Babbar Khalsa terrorist who is currently in Pakistan, and Jaswinder Singh Multani, a top member of the SFJ and close associate of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, residing in Germany, about their involvement in the Ludhiana blast.

After diplomatic coordination, the German police arrested Multani from Erfurt city for his role in the Ludhiana blast in Punjab and planning more terror attacks in New Delhi, among other cities in India.
A team of Indian police officers will soon reach Germany to question Multani.

Multani’s name propped up on the police radar when he planned to kill farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal to create unrest during farmers’ movement. The man arrested disclosed that he got instructions from a Germany-based pro-Khalistan leader Multani on social media to target a key farmer leader.

“Multani used to coordinate with Pakistan-based pro-Khalistan groups to provide logistic support for terror activities,” said a police officer.

A bomb blast had occurred at the Ludhiana court complex on December 23 that killed one and injured two others.

#LudhianaBlast Accused Multani Releases Video – “Not Arrested By German Police”
Berlin-New York, December 29, 2021
In a startling video Ludhiana Blast accused and Germany based Khalistan Referendum propagandist Jaswinder Singh Multani revealed that he has never been arrested by the German Federal Police as falsely claimed by India.
The joint video of Multani and Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, General Counsel to SFJ recorded on Tuesday December 28th debunks Modi Government and Indian media’s propaganda about arrest and extradition of Germany based Khalistan activist.
In his conversation, Multani confirmed that German authorities are fully aware of his pro Khalistan activities and reaffirmed his commitment to continue activism for Khalistan Referendum which seeks to liberate Punjab from Indian occupation through peaceful and democratic means.
Claiming that India’s false propaganda to equate and label Khalisan Referendum as “terrorism” has failed, SFJ General Counsel Pannun stated that “the voting in Khalistan Referendum which started from London, has also taken place in Geneva and the next voting will be in Italy and Germany”. “SFJ believes in ballots not bombs”, reiterated Pannun.

One person had died while five others were injured in an explosion in a public toilet at the Ludhiana District Court Complex on Thursday, 23 December.
News agency ANI had reported that after diplomatic coordination, German police arrested Multani from Erfurt city in central Germany. It was added that a team of Indian police officers was on its way to Germany to question Multani.

However, speaking to SFJ founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, Multani said in the video, “Today, 28 December, I'm sitting at home. Linking my name to the Ludhiana court blast is a lie. They are trying to defame us. This is not an armed fight."

Meanwhile, ANI had also quoted a police officer as saying, "Multani used to coordinate with Pakistan-based pro-Khalistan groups to provide logistic support for terror activities."

Earlier, intelligence agencies had alerted about the involvement of Harvinder Singh Sandhu, a Babbar Khalsa terrorist currently in Pakistan, and Jaswinder Singh Multani, a top member of the SFJ, in the Ludhiana blast case. Multani is said to be a close associate of SFJ founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.

The Punjab Police had said on Saturday, 25 December, that the person killed in the blast was determined to be the bomber and a former cop.

The perpetrator, Gagandeep Singh, had been dismissed from the police force in 2019 following his involvement in a drug case.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi on Friday had sought the Centre's assistance in the blast case.
