National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has cancelled the contract of senior officer Brig Rtd Tanzeemuddin for his alleged disclosure of electoral malpractice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to reports, Brig Rtd Tanzeemuddin had been working as Coordination Director of Chairman NADRA for the last two years.

Chairman NADRA Imtiaz Tajwar by exercising his special powers sent him packing before the end of his contractual period. He told the senior officials of Interior Ministry that Tanzeemuddin leaked out all the messages between government and NADRA to PTI and the media.

. . . . .
Did this official engage in whistle-blowing or unauthorized leakage of information?

We need to understand what kind of information was leaked to make that determination.

All I know is that some cell was established in COMSATS HQ basement, that was allegedly involved in post-poll rigging of the 4 constituencies PTI demanded for recount, alleged officials provided this information to Mazhar Barlas, some journalist and PTI CEC member Naeem ul Haq also alleged with names of the people running the cell secretly... a day or two later NADARA acknowledged that they know about this cell in COMSATS and now they have fired the officials who leaked the information.

welcome back.

3 - 4 days ago some media channels reported that in the basement of COMSATS building in Islamabad, NADRA has set up a secret office to change the results of 4 constituencies in which PTI is demanding votes recount. Media even gave names of 3 NADRA officers involved in this secret operation.

PTI then raised this issue in IK's press conference the next day. Yesterday NADRA denied of having any such secret office in COMSATS building's basement. And today, we have a senior officer of NADRA fired for leaking information to PTI. Looks like there was some truth in that media report.

Connect the dots, and see the whole picture..

But firing those will make them , key witness to the crime committed by a important govt organisation?

I respect whistle blowers... hats off to their courage and commitment to honesty and integrity of their selves !
Every public servant in Pakistan files an affidavit of maintaining secrecy of organizational matters. No official record is allowed to produce even before the court unless ordered by the court explicitly. Whistle blowing is radically different from providing unauthorized access. One should certainly ask, under which circumstances the said officer allowed an unauthorized person or group of persons to have access to organizational matters.

It is obvious that he was the one who leaked the names of the ballot fakers in NADRA. Firing this man only brought credibility to Imran Khan's accusation. War between PTI and Nooras has already started and there will be casualties like this. Its going to get worse and bloody before the end. I'm positive of that. When the Nooras are finally cornered, they will resort to violence.

good point, but in what court??
Can be in supreme court , there is a new CO, let's test him?

It will be too late , for example in MODEL TOWN investigation it's been said many police officers been ready to become witness against , the minsters & punjab CM himself, in that situation NOORA LEAGUE won't get much support from the govt machinery? Then what will they be at WAR against state of pakistan?
I don't think so!

If the Model Town story is correct, then that is good news. However, as long as the Nooras remain in the position of power, they have the means to use state machinery for violence against political opponents. They have their own militant wing, they have put their own people into every state institution, they have the support of powerful corrupt people of the country. They are so deeply entrenched that they won't go without a fight. Ofcourse, I hope that it never comes to that and innocent lives are spared. What seems likely to happen is the slow erosion of their power (as Imran Khan is trying to do) and then a blitzkrieg event just like Tahrir Square in which the country grinds to a halt.
