what a hypocrite .....

Pakistani media houses are becoming dustbin.
No ethics, no professionalism, just sensationalism

Hmmm.. Illegal ( underworld ? ) money not good enough to keep good people in network..? Very few journalists would want to be associated with a network which is under FBI's radar.

I am glad all lafafa sahafis are going away from Bol! Media should use burnol! We all support bol :) let the investigation finish! Kamran khan kuch sharam kuxh haya kuch ethics hotay hn !

Bolne se pehley bolti bannd ho gai bol ki

All of them Lifafa Sahafi, the thing is that who pay much!

Asma has her own crew who follow her into every channel she joins.....so they are going to leave also.
Plus plenty of local reporters who thought they have finally joined a channel with a decent package and which pays them on time...

It is correct that no charges have been proven against AXACT in court. As I heard in one of the many TV discussions (there have been so many that one forgets what is said by whom?) that the fraud has been committed mostly against the Americans & some residents of the Arab Gulf countries by the off shore companies thus no crime in Pakistan. USA on the other hand has already convicted and fined an institution associated with AXACT, but the fine remains unpaid as it was only a paper institution with no assets.

All the indications are that AXACT were in fact involved in selling fake degrees and their profits have been obtained thru unethical/immoral means to say the least. One can therefore understand that it would be extremely difficult for reputable media men to remain associated with the group.

Besides, it is quite possible that after such a bashing in the media, the BOL TV may not take off at all or even if it does, it may not succeed. To disassociate from the BOL TV at this stage is therefore a prudent decision.

At the end of the day, all professionals, regardless of the nature of their profession, work primarily to earn a living. Journalists are not saints and chance of doubling or tripling your remuneration is too much of a temptation to pass. Therefore I wouldn’t blame the journalists who had joined BOL network.

@niaz sir report wants us to believe that axact's 95% work was of fake degrees and some 5% was software business like 'anni machi hoi c'. Check any 2 number business they provide at least sixty percent quality products and rest low level material to keep their business running.

Second thing report said that Americans wanted fake degrees to join military to participate in wars of Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a fact that 3/4 Americans are against the Iraq war but report wants to show people're in favour. Killing two birds.

Lastly people joined BOL in haste when it was still in process and left in haste when trial was in progress.

Can somebody list top 10 IT companies of pakistan(by sales, not net worth).

Honorable Salik,

You are quite correct, like other companies AXACT also exported & provided software services to the industry in general. I never knew name of the Axact before the scandal broke. However I did some research (googled) the very day that the scandal broke.

Axact claimed to be the biggest IT company in Pakistan, but its name was not among the top ten software exporters of Pakistan. The following link even mentioned that AXACT sells fake degrees:

Fugloo: List of Top Software Development Companies in Pakistan

I am moderately well educated; neither poor nor rich, neither a buffoon nor an intellectual; neither pious nor a libertine; in short a typical middleclass retired professional person. Like most educated Pakistanis, I had to endure 16/17 years of schooling & huge expenditure of my parent’s money before I could earn my M.Sc. degree. To my simple mind; to fabricate, sell or be involved in fake degree business either directly or indirectly; is unethical & immoral. The above explains my feelings towards Axact.

As pointed out by Dr Ata-ur Rahman; I may be legally incorrect to pass judgement on Axact before the case is proven in the court of law, but I would not risk a butcher with a fake medical degree to put on a white coat and start operating on me, neither would you.

Sir the link you provided was dated Oct 2014 and it clearly talked about fake thing. One wonderd how did the mature people like Iftikhar Ahmed and Kamran Khan overlook this thing and ran for money or they knew and compromised. Either way they appeared as poor journalists.
