The weird thing is Hinduism is literally full of this shit

They didn't have to do anything just write what's written in Hindu scriptures.

My take on it is that the ruling RSS party tried to fish for votes by playing the anti-muslim card, as we know majority of Indians are Hindu. They succeded by huge margin but at a tremendous cost.

The big problem for RSS and hindutva fascism is that although muslims are a minority, its by no means a small community; counting 200-300 million.

In modern day it impossible to genocide or supress such a large and populous minority. Especially when muslims are by religious virtue well accostumed to facing harsh treatment and hatred from anti-islamic elements. To not speak of muslims outside of India, which is by no means a small neglible force.
