Sedition case against Indian actress for praising Pakistan

was speaking after a rightwing lawyer filed a case against her in a local court, seeking sedition charges.
As usual another nonsense troll thread , the case has been filed by a lawyer seeking sedition charges. Court will decide whether it is valid or not. As for fools who comment on democracy thats how it works , everyone has the right to file charge or contest them freely. There are hundreds of stupid cases filed every day only morons without any work will take them seriously.

here's another gem.

Good luck drooling & opening multiple threads for it.

People who dont have much experience of democracy mustn't comment on it like on this thread.

In a democracy, people make accusations, a case is registered and then the Court decides whether the case has any merit or not as the Courts will decide in this case as well, most probably in favour of the lady. This is how every civilised democracy works and this is how it will work in this case as well. Don't expect our neighbours with limited experience of sham democracies to understand.

For once, I agree with Indians and suggest that Indians should kick her out of their country. She doesn't deserve to live in India.

Send her across to me......

Oh, you're writing about that listless male member who filed cases against that poor woman. I was sleepy and befuddled and just couldn't understand what you were driving at.

Sorry i shouldve written you guys.instead of yoy

For filing a treason case over simple comments in which she refused to call us evil

That publicity seeking idiot filed cases under three sections of the Indian Penal Code. If I cite them, you will see for yourself what a totally unfounded effort at harrassment this circus happens to be. Take 124A, for instance:

Sedition.—Whoever, by words, either spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representation, or otherwise, brings or attempts to bring into hatred or contempt, or excites or attempts to excite disaffection towards, 102 [***] the Government established by law in 103 [India], [***] shall be punished with 104 [imprisonment for life], to which fine may be added, or with imprisonment which may extend to three years, to which fine may be added, or with fine. Explanation 1.—The expression “disaffection” includes disloyalty and all feelings of enmity. Explanation 2.—Comments expressing disapprobation of the measures of the Government with a view to obtain their alteration by lawful means, without exciting or attempting to excite hatred, contempt or disaffection, do not constitute an offence under this section. Explanation 3.—Comments expressing disapprobation of the administrative or other action of the Government without exciting or attempting to excite hatred, contempt or disaffection, do not constitute an offence under this section.]

Now, @Zibago , please tell me, can you by any stretch of the imagination fit Ramya's snub of Parrikar into this phrasing?

@jbgt90

It's all your fault! You should have kept that juvenile delinquent at home and handled him your own selves, not inflicted him on us.

@Zibago I have very little hair left. If you want me to go through the other two as well, I am sure to end up without any. Whatsoever.

Your call.

It's my birthday, so I expect magnanimity at least in this respect.

You don't need democracy to understand the nonsense / idiocy. All it takes is a working functional brain capable of rational thought process. Otherwise you end up filing useless cases in world's biggest democracy because you felt insecure by a lady sharing her experience.

One individual filing a crappy case doesn't mean anything. It's a country of 1.2 billion. There are crazies. The lawyer most probably did it deliberately to gain some media attention anyway as he may think that it may help his practice.

What is a true test of democracy is that such frivolous cases must not stand the test in courts which it will not.
