Nov 7, 2012 09:51 Moscow Time

Russia and Vietnam have reached agreement on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
A relevant intergovernmental agreement was signed in the wake of a meeting of the two countries’ Prime Ministers, Dmitry Medvedev and Nguyen Tan Dung, earlier today.

The two leaders also took up prospects for boosting Russian-Vietnamese energy cooperation and made a decision to set up a high-level bilateral working group on priority investment projects.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has been meeting in Hanoi with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Zung to discuss a wide range of cooperation issues including in trade, investments, energy, space, humanitarian ties and, possibly the use of port facilities in Kamran.

Medvedev’s team also includes Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, the government’s deputy chief of staff Sergei Prikhodko, Russian Space Agency head Vladimir Popovkin and other senior officials.
