Scholarships for four Arab women scientists
Four Arab women scientists, including an Emirati, are to be awarded the L’Oreal-Unesco Pan Arab Regional Fellowship Award, a scholarship worth 20,000 euros, in recognition of their contributions to the advancement of science.
This comes as a result of Shaikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation and President of Zayed University, signing a memorandum of understanding with L’Oreal Middle East on Tuesday, marking their cooperation on the programme.
The initiative aims to empower Arab women scientists and highlight their contributions to the world of science, acknowledging their key role in the development of the region.
Countries of the GCC and Yemen are included in this year’s scholarship programme.
