Hi, is there any basic level of accountability in Pakistan? This scam has driven up fertilizer prices, which reduces agricultural output, driving up food prices, stroking inflation, which reduces the purchasing power of the common man, thus further reducing discretionary spending, reducing consumption, thus driving down GDP output. Moreover, importing fertilizer would stress the fiscal deficit, causing the rupee to further weaken, thus worsening the balance of payments problem. Need I say more? I wonder if there is any justice in this nation....

Of course there is accountability - don't you read all the 'liberal commentators' calling for cuts in the defence budget to provide more resources in order to cover up the losses through corruption such as this ....
