SC dismisses Nawaz's plea seeking bail extension

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed Nawaz Sharif's plea seeking extension in his bail on medical grounds.

The six-week bail of former prime minister would expire on May 7.

The bail was granted on March 26 on medical grounds , with the apex court ordering Sharif to surrender before the court after expiry of bail.

A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the plea that was filed by Sharif's lawyer.

Sharif's have been understandably trying to throw off the courts and keep insisting on permission to go abroad to the same Gora Doctors who botched Nawaz's heart condition to its current complicated state.

How is it possible that lower courts can make judgments against the supreme court?
It was the Lahore high court that released him, how do they even have jurisdiction when the matter is in the supreme courts?

Here is the power structure of Courts in Canada

Lahore high court would be in the "Provincial/Territorial superior courts"
They would have no power in the decision of the supreme courts.
