The strength of a nation’s security and the vitality of its society (to live in peace) depend on the quality of its police and its traning.
It seems even in future, Quetta can be targeted any time by agents. In future whenever they want they can burn city of Queeta. Question is how to save Quetta in future??
There is only one way and that is to appoint Inspector General Durrani of KPK police in Quetta with full authority. He did very good in war riddenece NWFP.

Army/FC can not save cities as they have diffrent funcations , e.g to lodge war on border.

1.) ISI's External Wing needs to wake up and find/fix/finish these animals in Afghanistan. SSG are trained for ops behind enemy lines. What are we waiting for?

2.) The police force has to consist of the best officers. Paramilitary and military are never good alternatives to solid policing.

3.) We need to learn about layered security, which one would expect we would have after attacks on GHQ, various ISI safe houses and offices, Naval and Air Force bases, airports and schools. Clearly not.

Seal the boarder COMPLETELY.
Seal the madarsahs of Jamats that are famous for spewing hatred.
Fix corruption.
Need sattelites to check movements on Western boarder.
Make every institution accountable including ISI to the people of Pakistan.
Banned outfit's heads should be behind the bars.
Re-equip & Modernize Police & FC with latest equipment & Training.

A lot has to be done nation wide..

We actually have vast experience of a city burning - Karachi. Before the army operation backed by General Raheel Sharif, Karachi was basically held hostage by MQM. In the end, the solution was a combination of military and political action. MQM has been masterfully divided, and hopefully our leaders will continue the operation at all fronts to rid us of this cancer.

In order to find a solution to the Baluchistan problem, we need to understand the root causes. Is ISIS really involved? Are these attacks backed by separatists posing as ISIS? What exactly is the external influence and how much of a role does it play? Unfortunately, we on this forum don't have answers to these questions.

BUT, history shows that 'spectacular attacks' at our institutions leads to 'spectacular response' by the forces. Example: APS. Hopefully, this heartbreaking and deplorable incident will provoke an equally resolute and powerful response. And hopefully the outreach of this action will not be limited by any kind of boundaries. I hope the next army chief has as much patriotism, determination, valor, and foresight as General Raheel to carry out such an action.

For our martyrs:

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'oon

To blame Afganistan for every incident makes Pak look desperate to search for answers. Pak needs to look closer as to why Quetta is being targeted continuously. How is it a heavily populated police cadet college can be attacked with no real confrontation by the guards. Unfortunately this tragedy will pass by and forgotten of. Just remember 60+ sons of Pakistan will never return. 100+ may have a permanent disability! Hundreds o families have left to grieve. Part of the solution depends on controlling the border and placing a security ring around the city. I don't think anything will come out of this once again sad incident. Pak media and population are waiting for the next attack to occure because Pak people have become numb to the continued attacks on its people.
