A former U.S. National Security Adviser revealed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has bought Chinese-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to support its military operations in Yemen.

At the same panel discussion, a former adviser to the Saudi ambassadors to the U.K. and U.S. chipped in and said Saudi Arabia had done the same thing.

Retired Gen. James L Jones said the countries were forced to look else where for UAVs as could not obtain American-made drones.

An analysis by Jane’s suggests the Chinese-made UAV in use could be the CH-4.

Well smart move and I hope they would soon buy CH-5 also

. .
The UAV is a Pterodactyl I, not a CH-4. Both the UAE and KSA are reported to have purchased that variant.

Chinese military hardware is simply high-quality. It's no wonder that countries in every corner of the world are lining up to buy these sweet toys.
