Saudi TV starts Urdu news bulletin

ISLAMABAD, Sept 24 (APP): The Saudi TV Channel-2 has started Urdu News bulletin aimed at serving the needs of the Urdu knowing community in the Kingdom. This step would enable the community to keep themselves abreast with the policies and socio-economic development in Saudi Arabia. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia on Saturday welcomed the initiative and said Urdu News Bulletin on the Saudi TV was an important step for strengthening brotherly relations between the two countries.
He thanked Saudi Minister for Information and Culture,Dr Abdul Aziz Khoja for launching the regular Urdu News Bulletin and said his prompt action was laudable.
He said that the bulletin will be of great advantage to the pilgrims during their stay in Kingdom.
The Ambassador said that the community has widely appreciated the steps and termed it a milestone in relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

This is a good step .. wish for a 24/7 channel in Urdu and other languages for the non-Arab communities in the kingdom .

PTV also airs its news bulletin in Arabic if I am not wrong.
