Saudi source: Turkish bases cannot be allowed in the kingdom

Much before Oil, God has blessed Saudi Arabia with Islam and Qur'an.. they took it to the rest of world as a light against the darkness of ignorance.. and through their many empires they were already some of the richest and wealthiest people and societies on earth..it was a bonus from God for their good deeds, and Oil was another bonus afterwards, so they could continue the good work..

Well, I think you smoke somthing bad...

First Allah gave Islam & Quran to Mohammed Rassulallah... not to the Saudis ( they didn't even exist at that time) and after the revelation, it was spread TO EVERYONE... Including Arabs/African or whatever you like to say it...

Second ARABS at that time WERE the WORST HUMANS of their KINDS... do not forget that... It was one of the only parts remaining of the region to still do human sacrifice and bury their own kids... for the sake of Baal... Therefore Islam wasn't a REWARD but a blessing to those wicked ppl " OF THAT TIME"

Third... those "great empires" who came after Islam beginning... Most of them were not fought or ruled by Arabs... but by "ARABITIZED" populations...

As for the Oil... well some of you can see it as a blessing or a reward from Allah... but I see it as a "Test" to see if you guys can do good with what Allah gave you... ANd to be honest... This "Reward" is turning into Ibliss Money... (whatever it's GCC or other muslim countries who has it...)

KSA is a 85 year old country... who fought against their own brothers to rise... by the help of the West... ( What rised from Haram...will fall from Haram... it's what Islam told us)

My friend,

F-16 can never be 90% of F-15 in capabilities; not even close. Technical disparity is too vast. F-16 turns into a major threat at shorter distances but objective of F-15 is to detect opponent(s) from vast distances and bring its massive firepower to bear before opponent(s) can close the gap to nullify some of its advantages.

We live in the era of 'smart machines' that can not only take a lot of workload off the pilot during combat operations but assist him in the matters of combat on top of it. The era of 'ace pilots' is coming to an end, slowly but surely.

Conversely, I fully acknowledge the importance of decent tactics. No matter what toys you have, it eventually comes down to the workforce (and management) to utilize them effectively. Saudi Royal Air Force packs lot of firepower and capability but it cannot take a quality opponent like Turkey lightly. Those fancy toys will grant Saudi tremendous situational awareness and opportunities to strike at opponents from safer distances but they need to execute their operations with good teamwork and timing in order to succeed in the end.

What the are you talking about?
Turkey got so many air refueling aircraft, it can easily feed Turkish f16 to have longer operation...
You dont even understand that your American jets cannot shoot down Turkish jets as it see them friendly through IFF system because of the source code. Turkey is the only country that(Israil is the only one that USA share the source code) developed their own iff and whole computer management system of f16...
You should spend some time in youtube to watch the dog fight results between f16 and f15... what pilots talk about it.. you Saudis are only care about the paper power, but we care about the quality and the real fight.

Turkey is third country in the world after USA and UK that has network enabled war capability... do you even understand what is that? When they attack with Awacs, fake Turkish developed jet powered drones that will look in your jets radar as F16 and also maneuver like them and most probably your "well trained pilots" will use all of their air to air missile to get rid of them. In fact you will see Turkish f16 coming after that to down sitting f15 ducks in the air...

The way that Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states aid Syrian (arab) refugees.

Sir i think lets keep out SA out of equation as they are not yet operational othervise you can bring blk 62 of f16 ..

On the other hand i would like to know other than range which capabilities of f16s are lesser than f15 ?

If f15 has larger radar than f16 has larger radar cross section ... both has similar missiles and sub systems ...

That's just too much assumptions. Lol
What assumptions are you talking about ?

The performance of arab pilots in any of the previous war ?
Specs of f16 vs f15s?

We are discussing a hypothetical (Saudi versus Turkey) scenario here in which both sides have prepared for conflict in advance. There would be modifications in source codes for that. Otherwise, neither Saudi and nor Turkish pilots will be able to shoot each other.

Yes, I am aware of network-centric warfare concepts. In-fact, if you had been following my posts, you wouldn't have questioned my knowledge in this regard. I tend to be pragmatic in my assessments even to the point that I would correct my Pakistani brother over an issue if need be.

I was largely pointing out the technological disparity between F-15 series and F-16 series aircraft. I don't care about opinions and experiences of pilots in simulations and exercises with friendlies (people whom they know in person) and they also know that real weapons are not being used; situation changes completely in war when you don't know your opponent and you are counting on the qualities of your aircraft and your own judgement to deliver.

Brother,

No need to call me Sir; just call me brother.

Both F-16 and F-15 have excellent airframes at base level, designed for great maneuverability and g-forces. But how capable an aircraft is - comes down to its onboard set-of-components comprising of sensor suite, engine and armaments.

F-15 series aircraft are equipped with two engines to achieve superior speed and range, superior sensor suite to detect threats from vast distances and longer-range weapon systems to kill opponents before they can close the gap - than F-16 series aircraft and/or MMRCA on average.

F-15 series aircraft are specialized for missions (strictly 'air-to-air' operations [OR] strictly 'air-to-ground' operations); they are literally configured and equipped with most capable components (available) in accordance with their mission priorities. Conversely, F-16 series aircraft are multi-role but easy to learn and cost-effective.

However, F-16 and F-15 can be customized in accordance with needs of the customers and their disparity level may vary accordingly. The latest F-16V (Block-72) is a major leap from earlier variants in capabilities because it is equipped with components that were previously exclusive to F-15 series aircraft. So there's that.

If you are expecting a comprehensive technical comparison, then I would need some time to create it for you. You will have to wait for it.

Turkey wants to end KSA and Gulf countries dependence in U.S/West in defence?
Where do you think Turkey itself most of its weapons and military tech from?
Do you know that Turkey has been a part of NATO(which has served them well) for over half a century now?
Read carefully.Did I say they have to buy weapons from us? Buying weapons from us or from Russians gives only diversity. Do you think F-15 or Thaad or Abraams can protect their regime? Can these weapons stop political changes?
These weapons are only protect them from a direct attack from Iran. but as I said noone accept Iran in the muslim world can do just crazy thing but I cant say the same for Israel or US.
Their nightmare are political changes on the region. They are thinking standing with the US side will secure them but I dont think the same.
Yes we are part of NATO but the coup and US's supporting YPG has changed many things.
