Lebanese firefighters extinguish a fire at the Duroy Hotel where a man detonated his explosives as security forces stormed his room in the Raouche neighborhood of Beirut on June 25, 2014.

About a dozen people, including three members of security forces, have been injured in a bomb attack at a hotel in the Lebanese capital.

A Saudi national detonated his explosives in his hotel room in Beirut during a raid by Lebanese security forces on Wednesday, the Lebanese newspaper The Daily Star reported.

Another suspected Saudi bomber, who was injured in the bombing, was arrested at the scene.

The two had taken refuge in Duroy Hotel near the Saudi Embassy in the Raouche neighborhood of Beirut when Lebanese security agents raided the hotel after receiving intelligence of their stay there, security sources said.

“This was a pre-emptive strike by General Security,” Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk said, adding that the two Saudi nationals “were supposed to carry out an attack in another location.”

Machnouk also said that it was not the first time that security forces have prevented bombers from reaching their targets.

The attack came a day after a car bombing in a southern neighborhood of Beirut killed a security officer and injured at least 20 people.

Lebanon has been suffering from terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda-linked militants as well as random rocket attacks, which are viewed as a spillover of the conflict in Syria.

Saudi Arabia and Israel should officially become part of the U.S. Oh wait, they already are....

.
These scums are infinite and spread across the world like a cancer. If only it was possible to gather all of them in a desert and let them 'push the button' simultaneously.

. . .
USA: Quetta Shura of Talibaan is behind this cowardly attack.
UK: Dad is spot on, as always.
India: It is Hafiz Saeed and LeT behind the attacks, we will carry out surgical strikes in modi's dreams and enhance the cold start doctrine with a hot samosa!
Afghanistan: It is Talibaan behind the attack and we had prior intelligence of such an attack (although they lack prior, existing, future or any general knowledge ;))
Pakistan: .............................................
Sind Governmen: 144 imposed, double sawaari pe pabandi!!

God riddance.

He was on the Saudi government terror list, a fact Press TV failed to mention.

What do you expect from PISSTV?

Suicide bombing (which ironically was first used by farsi sponsored Shia terrorists in Lebanon 30 years ago) has nothing to do with Islam or any sect. It's basically just a means to cause harm and casualties to the "enemies". No different from barrel bombing civilians or shooting them in the head with a AK47. Only difference is that those terrorist groups/sects use the suicide bombings as a powerful propaganda means of sacrificing yourself for your "religion" and cause. It's the ultimate sacrifice after all. This phenomenon is something new in the Islamic world. For the past 1400 years it has only been known in the last 30 years. Way after any sects emerged. Nowhere is there any Islamic scriptures that talk about suicide. In fact it is clearly forbidden in Islam.

In any case certain people are caught into that ideology or whatever it is. Often people from the lower social classes, without jobs, with a hopeless future and who are easily manipulated and want to become part of a community. Mostly very young people who know very little about life and religion.

In this particular case we are dealing with a 20 year old (!) that has been in the most wanted list in KSA for the past 2-3 years.

The suicide bomber that targeted a Beirut hotel on Wednesday night, wounding three officers, was identified as 20-year-old Saudi national Abdul-Rahman Nassir al-Shneifi and has been on a wanted list by the Saudi authorities, sources told Al Arabiya News Channel Thursday.

Al-Shneifi left the kingdom on March, the sources said, without giving further details.

So-called "Shia" terrorist groups have also been bombing Sunni areas deliberately with bombs in the past few years. Although the situation in Lebanon is fairly stable compared to the civil war period.

In any case those people form 0,00001% of the Saudi Arabian population. For all I care they can blow themselves up among Shia terrorists and their supporters. This way both trash are eliminated.

If people can distinguish them based on their usage (they can be a foe or a friend) then why so much noise when categorize on the basis of religion ? Just asking.
Usage of what?

Why the noise? Coz terrorism is not preached in any religion and it is therefore to even associate it with one! Let alone trying to juice an article that doesnt have any mention of it!
