Saudi FM: Riyadh Will Develop Nuclear Arms if Iran Does

it is quite embrassing what I’m seeing here being posted. I'm reading some Pakistani sections here of openly poking their runny noses so hard in choosing their sides. So eager to join and fight others wars. And even suggesting of giving their nukes to them to as a good ally lol.

What are you people their deputy sheriff

This syndrome of middle east needs to be urgently kicked out of these Pakistanis. Before they doom the rest of us. I have no love for any of these states. Go ask them the same question would they give you Pakistanis their nukes! Fooking idiots. You will be death of Pakistan.

Why there is no Saudi members on PDF? I saw some before.

btw, if Iran makes nukes, then Saudi will do that too. So guess, who is smart here?

Bullshit...

Pakistan will hit soft belly of Iran if Iran tries to start a civil war. Iranians also have problems in their country...Sistan province is very near to Pakistan.

Pakistan is regional power. Iran can at best try to manipulate public opinion in Pakistan through their influential groups residing in Pakistan. That's all.

Pakistan shouldn't/cannot afford to end defence relations with Saudis for sake of Iran or Pakistani Shias..

Our defence relations with Saudis goes way long back.

This threatening of civil war proves Iran cannot be trusted at all. They are trying to create fifth column in Pakistan. I'll wait for Iran to show more sincerity towards Pakistan before we have soft corner for them.

Apart from Turks. No one can be trusted by Pakistan.

Traitors are Iranians...along with Saudis.

Do u remember what Saudis did regarding Pak nukes?

Do u also remember what Iran did regarding Pakistani help on nukes?

Saudis are more trust able in this regard.

Gone are those days when people used to mock Arabs....Now they are getting quit a education...at least their newer generation.

You seems to have misunderstood what I was saying (I was unclear of the dynamic of our populations sentiments; and how external event can threaten our internal security)

A sectarian war could arise not at the behest of the Iranians, but a ground swell amount some Pakistani Shias if Pakistan takes part against Iran, and a ground swell among some Pakistani Sunnis if Pakistan supports Iran. Down the road, these two nations may fund factions in our countries if we look like we are going down the line to becoming another Iraq (If we weaken our internal cohesion; other may exploit it). The government of Pakistan started a good policy to Back Saudi Arabia for its territorial integrity and defense within its border stance when requested to join in Yemen against the Houthis, and also choose to not join that war in Yemen. We drew a line to how much involvement was in our interest. Pakistan's "establishment" needs to be strong and prevent and/or repulse any efforts to fight this cold war on our soil. To maximize the chance we are not pulled into this cold war, we should stay out of it unless our interests are threatened or the terms of our security commitments are exercised; such as an Iranian direct attack upon Saudi Arabian soil. In which case, we could destroy or blockade those assets directly attacking Saudi Arabia, such as using our navy to protect Saudi Ships near our coasts, flying fighter escorts with our F-16s of Saudi Awacs (remember our F-16s held their own up against Euro-fighters, so they are as good as any to provide fighter escort), or sending a armored division to the Saudi-Iraq border to defend against an Iran armored assault via Iraq. We could also use our Submarines to keep an Eye on Iranian naval activities; and if they are threatening Saudi oil convoys. There are many ways our unique position allows us to support a DEFENSE of Saudi Arabia without sending divisions upon divisions of tanks to the Iranian border and sending the wrong signal.

Arab Oil
Arab Gas

vs

Persian Oil
Persian Gas

Give both of them nuclear arsenal and take away their resources and everything. Leave them with just Grass and Bhutto.
Great idea. Almost as good as the cafe in Balochistan.

It's highly unlikely Saudis may have a nuclear weapons program, currently starting a nuclear weapons program is next to impossible.

If they do start a program and start buying the components they will need, then the NPT is truly dead.
