as far as im aware 3rd Khordad or Tabas are not based on Sam-6

well as it turns out it was 2 stage missile so those systems are off the chess board

without any basic training, they are experts in using SAMs, which of course their own scientists produce in caves.

Poor situational awareness. The upgrades for the Tornado do not seem to include MAWS per public material I saw.

This is a two seater and at least one pilot should be scanning over hostile territory. However, as the vietnam war has shown; without adequate warning there is little aircrew can do until its too late.

Moreover, such kills are made much more effective if ambush tactics are used on known ingress and egress routes.

Unfortunately in this proxy war the true suffering is for the Yemeni civilians, 35 of whom were killed in the Saudi reprisal that followed.
