Saudi Arabia announces 583 scholarships for Pakistani students

ISLAMABAD: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) will provide fully funded scholarships to 583 Pakistani students for year 2019.

Under these Scholarship opportunities, three major levels of Programmes were announced including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD Programmes for specified fields of studies except health/medicine.

Oof....that's a wee bit high. Wait, what's the difference between CGPA and GPA?

GPA = Grade point average (kisi aik semester, ya subject ka)

CGPA = Cumulative Grade Point Average (tamam semesters ka milaa kay end GPA jo banta that is CGPA).

Not bragging but I graduated with 3.66 CGPA in engineering Alhumdulilah :partay:


It's actually good that the cut off GPA is very high, it will encourage just the best of the best to pursue it. However, distinction should also be made from where the student has studied. Getting 3.5+ GPA is lot harder from NUST, GIKI, QAU than Iqra university. No offense to Iqra students :enjoy:

There should be at least 1000+ such scholarships each year to make a difference. After all, Urdu is now the second vernacular language of Saudi Arabia.
