So lately i watched a few sar-e-aam episodes and i am feeling really dejected and angry. I am fast losing faith in my countrymen and my hopes of a progressive and prosperous Pakistan are being dashed. I seriously can't believe that people can be so greedy and the blatant lies that come out of peoples mouth is frustrating to say the least.

I get specially angry when people with big beards and recite Allah and his messenger's name while lying shamelessly. These are the people that are supposed to be the trustworthy ones but just for some petty extra cash people are willing feed their fellow humans haram and filthy food. Are willing to defraud vulnerable people or take advantage of their position of power to blackmail and ruin innocent people's lives. To top it up the people whos job is to prevent this from happening are actually found supporting it.

This is Islamic republic of Pakistan but the people are as far away from Islam as pork is from being halal. How can anyone fix this country?

Well you should watch some positive content as well. If you keep watching only one kind of content, you brain will get programmed the way you have described. But good and bad, devil and angels all exist in the society. If you watch documentary about Abdus Sattar Edhi, Imran Khan, Dr AQ Khan and simple good hearted Pakistanis... your faith in humanity and Pakistan will be restored.. though I'm not discounting the crimes of these fake peers and evil mullahs but just saying that equal rather more goodness exists in the society.. so focus on positivity bro :)

No one can. IK is under attack because he is trying to fix some part of the theft, and trying to catch the thieves who had been living like Kings without any visible and declared sources of income.
The malice is wide spread and not limited to the Politicians.
The evidence is started to emerge. The traders, the property dealers, the bankers, the industrialists, the financial market traders, etc. etc. all are deeply involved in corruption and corrupt practices.

All the thieves are colluding lead by FazalurRehman.
No Hope, absolutely no hope.
The worst are the judges, look at Justice Faiz Isa, he has adopted same tactic of Nawaz Butt, wouldn't show the receipts, but spew all kind of hatred and BS.
Beyond repairs, Pakistan.

Aoa, Hi there and thank you for sharing your thoughts.

It is frustrating enough to feel ashamed and want to tear your hair out, all the more for those who are mpre sensitive than others.

I completely understand and relate to what you are saying and what you must have jotted down in blood but then deleted yourself before posting.

It hurts to see the despairing circumstances but then there is our belief that tells us that we should not despair. That there is always hope, for things are so bad that they can only get better from here on.

All we have to do is do our part, our share of things we can do better and help others realize the same. I think Iqrar is doing the same, making people realize the wrong from the right.

We should try and remain hopeful, look at both sides of the picture, that the glass is indeed half full as in good people too along with the worst of the worst in our societies.

Amr bil maroof, wa nahe anil munkir. This in my understanding is the reason for our existence as written in the Quran and thats what I believe humans existance is all about. Learn and gain from experience and differentiate between right and wrong...try to do as much good as you can and try to stop what is wrong and raise awareness against it.

We need to try harder to fix our country and the solution is in education. Lets see if this Government can fulfill its promise of delivering a uniform education curricula for the whole nation. Only education can fix this country in the long run and we must take not just a few steps but leaps towards this goal.

So we can fix this country by starting to do the right thing ourselves and spreading Awareness but as a Nation we have to put emphasis on education and, teaching the masses to distinguish right from wrong and most importantly, not just choosing the harsh path that is the correct one but staying firm and resolutely adhere to it.

Thank you for the tag.

This happens every where ... west was much more uncivilised and was true representation of law of the jungle ... but they changed ... its a slow process and has started ... eventually we will get there

The devil did not existed at the time Prophet Adam (A.S) was created so what was it that made Iblees disobey Allah? the answer is his "Nafs". Remove that from the equation and everyone is an angel. Once the impulses of "Nafs" overcome the restraints it manifests itself into the devil that can carry out unimaginable heinous deeds that we witness all around the world.

Good and bad has existed since the dawn of the human race. They are similar to light and darkness. Absence of light (good) is darkness (bad). All the bad in this world can be countered with good. The more good (light) we spread the more bad (darkness) recedes. The real test is to live with the horrifying impulses of "Nafs" but keeping the torch of good lit.

May the almighty help us all to remain centred during these trying times.

A country is nothing but a group of people. You can't fix other people, just fix yourself.

Hi, without a shadow of doubt, this show bring a lot of anger. You wouldn’t even think of the crime people are involved in. But this shouldn’t make you lose your faith but it needs you to motivate to help those who are giving their best to bring a change.

Pakistan is so much more than a few bad characters on one TV program. Diversify your sources of information and you will see much more positive news too that will create and sustain hope for a better future. Please rest assured that Pakistan is being guided along its chosen path very carefully by those who determine the direction of the country.

Sar e aam never affected me because I always had very low opinion of bearded mullahs, pirs.

Problem is that we have only been told since our childhood that pork, wine, dog/rat/cat/donkey meat etc are haraam. Just a thought of having pork or dog meat on our dining table makes us puke.

Our nation hasn't been fed with hate of haraam money, adulteration, interest earning etc. Time will come in shaa Allah when our new generations will be taught about these things in our homes just like how we have been taught about pork etc..

Beard/ no beard is a non-issue. I have seen people with/ without beards indulging in Haraam acts and earning haraam money. It's just that beard is a Sunnah, so I avoid talking about it, otherwise we shouldn't trust anyone.

By the way, Sar e Aam is a very good TV show, but there are many more good people out there as well. Think about yourself, and the majority of people on this forum. I think you and majority of Pakistanis on this forum are very positive, think logically, and work really hard. Similarly, you will find a lot of good people on streets, in offices etc. Think in this way, there is a guy who supplies rat meat to a few eateries in Karachi... but there are 1000 times more number of restaurants/ places which only use halaal meat. Even if they get a chance, they will simply refuse to go haraam way. But that one guy is highlighted and because of him, good people who are much more in number get overshadowed.

There is a lot more to Pakistan than what is shown on Sar-e-Aam. Actually you will find similar programs from all country's including the US. People are capable of things that defy the normal human behaviour and that is a global phenomenon. No amount of governance can entirely cleanse a country of the ills that plague its overall fabric, because it's all in the human nature.

Lets talk about Iqrar, religiously speaking, one is not supposed to fan the bad deeds of anyone and there is a reward for those who conceal sins of others, but Mr Iqrar doesn't care about any of that because he has a program to run and earn himself a name. He proudly shows faces(Can always blur them as happens in West) of all offenders without weighing in the consequences, their innocent families will have to put up with, with humiliation being the prominent of all.

Watched a few episodes a few years ago and quickly stopped for own sanity.

You should too.

Meh. There are good and bad people everywhere.

Problem with Pakistan is there is no judiciary. There is law of jungle here. The people, factories that are shown in show have been jailed and closed and then released and reopened the very next day. Because you can bribe police, government and do what you want.

The west has a functioning judiciary and so people behave and abide law.

Pakistan is actually much better when it comes to FAHASHI and disgusting sexual behaviours. Of course people do it but there is an element of shame. You can do everything with a woman or a man in a crowd of people in West and people will go "Aw, so sweet, love". Sexual deviances are encouraged in West publicly.

Pakistan will stay the same. People who want to make Imran Khan their Savior and Messiah will be disappointed.

The only problem and only solution is judiciary. It's ironic the party whose name is about justice doesn't have justice in its agenda in the whole year rather it wants to mediate between countries that never asked for any mediation LOL

Jaan na pehchan tou mera mehmaan
