SAPM NHS Zafar Mirza and Digital Pakistan Tania Aidrus Resign

this is actually PMIK own words biting him in the a&&. He made hoopla about dual nationalities before elections. Now he is reaping what he sowed.
there should be a difference between technocrat and politicians. Politicians are strategic policy maker, technocrats are field specialist to guide and drive the policies.

For politician you should be local so that you understand the sentiments of people and make laws and policies for benefits of people. For technocrat you should be expert of your field

What if she was planted ... and objection came from intelligence... that why we should let our data handled by a google 'palat' woman... there can be so many things behind the curtain... if they had taken a huge decision (leaving google/WHO), then they must serve the cause what they thought noble, and not to be bothered by nitty gritty journalists
@313ghazi @Hiraa @Waterboy @Cornered Tiger

Pakistan should tell diaspora to never work with any other big institution in the World. This is ill-logic.
Pakistan should have strong institutional mechanisms that if there exist such element, they cannot work in individual capacity.

The experience professionals bring in cannot be overrule by this logic.

She can work as professional.
She does not need to. There are a ton of professional opportunities that are far more lucrative elsewhere. The purpose here is NOT to make money but offer up professional expertise in the form of national service. You need a portfolio and some authority to push the development agenda forward. Without it, nothing happens in Pakistan. We see this day in, day out.

This is Pakistan's loss. There is too much insecurity and jealousy about expatriates coming to call the shots. I have seen this first hand with the "burger" tag attached and the dismissive behavior. It is unfortunate.

On the whole, the country is run by a set of elite jahils (don't get fooled by real foreign or fake degrees on display, its the mindset that sets the country back).

Both Aidrous and Mirza on the other hand are truly elite talent.

Lastly, how does it matter if they are dual-nationals? They have foreign nationalities? Good on them. If I or many other Pakistanis had this option, we'd go for it as well! Secondly, these people are being brought in as "technocrats" on the basis of their expertise. They are not "elected" officials yet the PPP/PML-N have nothing else to bring up so they do this. An utter disservice to Pakistan.

As it is, the Supreme Court is looking to ban Youtube thanks to the utter lack of understanding and comprehension among the judges and people in general about how the digital world works. Aidrous was going to help some but no more!

100% agree IK never talked about technocrats, instead He announced to bring 200 overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan to work with Government.

This is terrible.our experienced diaspora come here, scarficing their livelihood and this is how they are treated. I am sorry @Iltutmish for nagging you the other day about coming back and helping out ,Please don’t.

Just check the reason of her resign. I don't see any commoner running a campaign against her. As long as we have snakes like Media, be it Tania or Zafar or anyone else; we cannot have the services of any expert per say. Unfortunately, Pakistani Citizens at large, have no courage to condemn media or boycott them while on other hand, these media houses are like policy influence gangs and counts themselves above law. The day State realizes the threat within as such; we wouldn't loose any talent as such or in any domain. The irony is; Media now acts are a decision maker of public and so lies blatantly claiming to be public voice.

Why it should be discounted in case of PTI leadership? Dual nationality is a risk as well to national security. Don't we know that a third party gateway was active into NADRA system and could get anything out of it. That back door gateway into system was left deliberately. This is one reference that how you are compromised. I say it again, things might not looks like what it appears to be. Be it PTI or anyone else, dual national shouldn't be hired or appointed especially when we are talking about digital data which has more risk factor. Mind you, I am not a PTI voter neither any other party. The reason why I choose to stay away from such a muddy business.
We are never going to progress this way. You do realized the brain drain in Pakistan? If a Pakistan from foriegn country wants to come back and serve on higher level, with discipline, skills, expertise we shouldn’t let them? Just because? Why aren’t there any vetting agencies here who verify that they have no hidden agenda?

the basic problem with pakistan is that the people with least education, skill and IQ are at the helm of managment and the people with good IQ tend to leave the country for a better future abroad. just look around you will find that the common trend is that the toppers go to good medical and engineering colleges and most of them leave the country after graduation. those who stay behind dont have much to do with the managing affairs in this country as their nature of jobs is different. the next lot goes for ISSB and ultimately rule the country either directly or indirectly. the next lot goes to education and IT field. from this lot some find their way into judiciary and many of them reach at the top level in our parliament and courts and become decision makers. media people are mostly from the tier and many of them have great influence on the masses rather today the media is a mafia. terrorists with cameras and pens. the next lot goes to madrassahs and become muftis and mulanas.those who are at the bottom become politicians and attain the highest position in the pyramid of power in pakistan.
add the element of corruption in all these tiers and you will get a perfect recipe for disaster. the general rule is lower the IQ a person has and greater capability of corruption more are the chances that he will be calling shots in pakistan one day.
with fools at top and excessive brain drain out of the country how can we expect improvement ?
