Maharashtra = Maha Rashtra = Big/Greater CountryTamilnadu means Tamil Country , however now its under Indian imperialists like how British India was under British imperialist
No, it means not everyone in TN has time for yapping about Tamil this and that everywhere.Sanskrit Hindu song replacing Tamil National Anthem is proof of Hindia'n /Hindutva imperialism
SO?
Hieroglyphics are even older! How does that matter?
And? How does that matter? India's relationship with Sanskrit is roughly like that of GB with Latin. Ever wonder why all univs in UK/US have their motto etc in Latin?Tamil as a language , nation and race is older all the above including Sanskrit, Bharat varsha, Hinduism, Vedic Aryanism etc , just ask the Indian PM.
Maharashtra = Maha Rashtra = Big/Greater Country
Your point being?
No, it means not everyone in TN has time for yapping about Tamil this and that everywhere.
Controversy created since TN will go into election within short time. Looks at facts:Tamil Nadu politicians criticized the rendering of a Sanskrit invocation song instead of the Tamil anthem at a IIT-Madras function attended by 2 Indian ministers.

Karnataka is an Indian state. Several etymologies have been suggested for the name Karnataka. The region was popularly referred to as 'Karnata desha' in Indian history. However, historically, the names Karnatak or Carnatic have been misapplied to refer to the regions in or beyond the Western Ghats (Kodagu and Kerala) as well as to a region in present-day Andhra Pradesh (Telangana).[1]The other accepted derivative comes from the Kannada words karu and nādu meaning elevated land, or from the Kannada words kal and nādu meaning rock country, referring to the rocky terrain of the state.

Latin is an important sounding dead language and it finds its place in prayers and mottos. Sanskrit is similar.theres no basis to compare dead languages with Tamil , in case of Sanskrit it is meant for brahmins liturgical usage not in universities or academic /technological institutes
Controversy created since TN will go into election within short time. Looks at facts:
- Raised by Viako - Useless politician
- Supported by Kamal Hasan - who always try to set his foot in Hindi movie industry
- Sanskrit poem author was Doyen of Carnetic music
- He was TamilNadu born and lives his life the state without any issue
Its a Tamil brahmical /Hindutva joint conspiracy to relegate Tamils with useless Sanskrit.
Modi said Tamil is older than sanskrit, so it was just a political gimmick ?
Tamils should never let this issue slide - its an insult to Tamils as their National Anthem is gazetted to be played in all official state functions
Tamilnadu National anthem
Dont IIT Madras management know basic etiquette ?
This composition is only meant for Carnatic Music recitals or Bharata Natyam (or Kuchipudi) dance repertoire, it is in appropriate to be sung in a educational institute. Funny how Indians appropriate Tamil culture but deny Tamil its rightful place or recognition, unlike countries like Canada or Singapore
If Tamil is a qualification, then Oscar recipient AR Rahman's soul stirring Sufi song which has a better reach and international admirers, should be played in all Indian institutions
Thats it..! you got your answer..! still you cant know it then your a idiot or acts like that.
IIT-M is a Central Government Institute, It never falls under state subject ever.
கேன புண்டை பொய் ஊம்பு..!
This is prerogative of institute to choose a song. Somehow I would like to recall few quotes posted on defence.pk on how can someone become senior member if they always try to invoke viticimhood and naming a country they do not belong.
Over and out
