INDO BANGLADESH JOINT MILITARY EXERCISE SAMPRITI
“Exercise SAMPRITI”, a bilateral Joint Command Post Exercise between the armies of India and Bangladesh from 28 Oct to 31 Oct 2015. The Bangladeshi Contingent comprising of 19 Officers is led by Brigadier General Ghulam Faroque Nue-E-Kamar Choudhuri. The Exercise aims at enhancing interoperability between the two Armies in Counter Terrorist Operations apart from fostering friendly military relations between the two countries.

CTG insurgent are Indian trained and funded ...., there is absolutely no tactical or strategic point in this at all beyond establishing institutional contact.

Our CTG insurgents were non existent past 15 years. But recently seem to be a contact established between AA+CTGs
I know BA can learn something new from Indians experience what kinds of attacks they were facing. Like rebels blew trucks and often ambush their soldiers. These so called antiBD insurgents are funded and nurtured by India.... They do not attack Indian security forces..... Those that do are not present in BD, they were chucked out rightly by the army in both BNP and BAL rule. BD faces an external threat in CTG whilst IA is a occupying army in the seven sisters. The calculus is entirely different.

I maintain there is little practical relevance in such interaction however as a mechanism to build interpersonal contacts at a operational level these things can be effective.

1. We are doing a lot of joint exercises with the top potential threat to our sovereignty, but absolutely none with the potential threats to them. This is strange indeed. After all an enemy's enemy is supposed to be your pal automatically.
2. These fraternization are made full use of by Indian Intel to trap our officers. Honey trapping / liberal use of women has been common. Even Ershad, on a NDC course, was honey trapped by Jasawant Singh, then a DIG in RAW.

Utter waste of time, I don't understand why are we having our army exercising with the lungi army? if exercise was the goal we should have sent Kolkata police instead. What will be the benefits of these exercises? are we going to get hand stitched lungis?

Not sure why would you say all that...Now i am wondering what would the mindset of US forces when they do training with us...Exercises with foreign country helps a lot not matter how small/big the country is...

we should have done some exercises with Nepal instead, Bangladesh does not have anything new to offer considering we are already ruling them through our puppet. Anything we want from them we can just order lungis will be more than happy to oblige
