When society is in complete disarray.. where religious identity no longer exists as a whole. nor does national identity..where justice does not exist.. then intolerance for everything shoots up. Be it another person's belief, race or financial status.

why kidnap him? this family has the ire of religious fundos, they'd rather prefer killing him. Kidnapping him and then killing doesn't make much sense, if they wanted to kill him, they'd have done it at the scene. There are reports of his personal land and money disputes with people, could they have kidnapped him, probably, too early to tell.

But whoever did it must've known the gov't and police is going to respond to it's full extent and if they didn't they should get ready for the consequences.

On a side note, that's a 100,000 dollar car he was driving.
