It is good to see that some artists have finally realized to go back to roots of Pakistan which have always been Persian. From literature to Philosophy Pakistan is all rooted in Persian culture. In 1980's some people tried on American orders to Arabize Pakistan and the result is here for every one to see. Pakistan was more enlightened, hopeful and modern looking in late 1970's than now. Back then you could walk in safety from Khyber pass to Karachi without fearing for your life as if you were walking in English country side. Look at us now. Terror was imposed on Pakistanis as a side effect of policies which were envisioned in 1980's to contain Iran from all sides by United States. In that process United States damaged the roots of Pakistani nation.

Since not many iranians are here, i wanted to answer your question. The song itself was good and lively, i enjoyed it regardless of the language. Since Farsi is not his first language, so he sings with a bit of accent which is understandable, but he was good. I have listened to Hadiqa Kayani's persian song, she is even better and sings much clearer. By the way, what is this surname Kayani come from in Pakistan? Cuz, Kayani is a very old Persian Tajik ruling dynasty in old days afghansitan(Ariana) which goes back deep into our history, i wanted to know the relation.

I did not know she was Afghan. I thought she was Punjabi. Anyways, I guess both modern Persian spoken in Iran and Dari are real ofcourse. Different dialects. But Afghan Dari has accepted alot of Pushto words since they live close to Pushtoons. But I guess standard is Iranian Persian internationally.

I dont know exactly, Kayani are rare, but of high quality people usually, a separate entity of their own. maybe they are from the old Persian-Tajik ruling dynasty as you are saying...
