Saina Nehwal beats Li Xuerui to win Indonesia Open
NEW DELHI: Riding on her rich vein of form and continuing her love affair with Jakarta, India's Saina Nehwal beat World No. 3 Li Xuerui of China 13-21, 22-20, 21-19 to win the Indonesia Open on Sunday.
This is Saina's third Indonesia Open title. She had won the title in 2009 and 2010 and lost to Wang Yihan in the final last year.
Saina had beaten Ji Hyun Sung of Korea in the semifinal on Saturday.
Xuerui had stunned world champion Wang Yihan in the semifinal of the tournament. Xuerui, who has been beating the Wangs consistently of late but missed out on Olympic berth, had a 4-1 career record over Saina before Sunday's final.
