Saif Ali Khan's Grandfather desperately wanted to merge Bhopal with Pakistan

. .
This thread may turn to be quite spicy.

. . . .
Pakistan should have extended out military help to the Nawab....Having Bhopal would have been a perfect way to secure Hyderabad Deccan

Yeah right we didn't even have enough stationery for official business and whatever we were supposed to inherent from the British was held back by the jealous third class Indian govt.

And you guys still owe us millions in reparations

. . . .
With the limited resources at our disposal we were too occupied with liberating kashmir and we almost had all of it until you people ran to the united nations to get a saving grace.

We fought each other for 18 months comrade...You could have taken whole of Kashmir well before 1st Jan,1949 ...Nobody was stopping you

. . . .
Not surprising. A lot of land that was Muslim-majority or ruled by Muslims was supposed to go to Pakistan, but didn't. In addition to Hyderabad, Bhopal, and Junagadh, there were a lot of districts in UP and Bihar that were Muslim majority at the time. Jinnah actually wanted those districts to be part of Pakistan to act as a corridor between the two wings of Pakistan. In addition, Assam and Tripura were Muslim-Majority at the time, and almost went to Pakistan.

There is a reason Jinnah called what is now Pakistan a "moth-eaten Pakistan"
