Jehan Daruvala is the brightest talent to emerge from Sahara Force India’s One From A Billion programme and the first inductee of the Academy.

Born in Mumbai on October 1st 1998, Jehan has been passionate about racing since childhood. He jumped at the opportunity to take part in the One From A Billion hunt and saw off more than 2000 karting enthusiasts to qualify for the final assessment in Silverstone. It was there that he made his mark in front of the expert panel.

Emerging as one of the top three finalists, Jehan enjoyed the support of Sahara Force India throughout 2012 and received an entry to the British KF3 Championship. In the last round of the series, at Shenington, the young Indian put on an incredible show, dominating the race weekend and claiming first place in all heats and finals. Jehan was also crowned Asia Pacific KF3 Champion in October after his win in Macau. A second campaign in the British KF3 Championship in 2013 culminated in Jehan claiming the title - the first Indian driver ever to win a British Karting Championship.

Jehan credits his success to the support of Sahara Force India and the tuition of driver coach, Terry Fullerton. Under his guidance, the rising star learnt new techniques while his racecraft was honed by the exposure to racing at one of the highest levels.
