The writer is an American, so a certain degree of cynicism is expected. But I found surprisingly detailed the analysis of the russian air force in the Georgian War, and how unprepared they were. There weren't enough fuel to train the pilots, the pilots flew disorganized sorties, and Russia failed to establish air superiority over the course of the war. I'm sure much lessons can be gleaned to improve the russian air force.
