I sincerely hope that don't happen, I don't want us to get all goody with the Russians, after all we've done some pretty ugly things to them..... Turkish option will not only provide a superior platform but also give us the much needed tech. transfer.....

Yes. They will. The real question is that do we have billions of dollars for buy new planes? The answer is no

Also, PAF---being the utterly professional organization that it is..unlike many others in our vicinity---is totally and completely focused on JF-17 Thunder.

JF-17 Thunder exceeded all expectations of PAF. It is like a golden duck that PAF got by luck.

JF-17 was planned to be the mediocre work-house for PAF...but it turned out to be a potential full-fledged very decent 4th generation fighter jet...It shot down Su-27s in exercises..and PAF F-16 pilots rated it superior to (non block 52) F-16s in many areas...

So as of now, entire focus is on JF-17 Thunder program because that is what will form the back-bone of the air force.

And there are no limitations to JF-17 except Russian Engine...

Imagine: An aircraft that Pakistan makes in house..and holds 58% of its rights...and that aircraft can carry state-of-the-art BVRs, smart bombs, anti-radiation missiles with 100km range for SEAD operations, hypersonic anti-ship/ground-attack missiles, anti-ship cruise missiles, stand-off weapons with 450km range, and even nuclear-tipped cruise missles.

This is dream come true for PAF!!!!

So PAF is focusing all-out on developing, improving, integrating, and solidifying JF-17 Thunder program. And all of the above mentioned weapons package are being integrated onto the JF-17.

Inshallah, by 2017-18, JF-17 will form the real backbone of Pakistan's tremendous air power...
