Or those who celebrated "Maidan square" protestors as freedom fighters but are blaming and making villian out of the other set of protestors who are protesting against "Nazi sympathisers" in Ukraine?

Many many people all over the World are released by courts after being arrested for crimes they 'have committed'. The Police do not decide who is guilty. The Courts do. Where are you from? Gestapo-istan?

The police do protect them. Literally a few days ago in Volgograd (former Stalingrad), police defended opposition activists from the raging crowd of local residents.
