Joint work of Russian and Italian experts kratkcevno weapon resulted in the appearance of another very interesting gun. The curiosity is that this model is wearing two different names. In Russia it is called shear (the name of a very fast birds) while the rest of the world simple Strike One (Gust 1). Although it was first presented to the public during the fair IWA 2012 in Nuremberg, this model is in Russia for a long time extensively tested by authorized military and police forces, as well as sports IPSC shooters, who by his own words, anxious that the new model is introduced in production category (pending model with a shorter barrel).

How is the special gun Strike One

At first glance, it would appear that this is just another great offer pistols with polymer frames, while not particularly attractive. But, we see immediately its first advantage over its competitors – an extremely low silhouette. In relation to the SIG SP-2340 tube axis is lower for unbelievable 23 mm! Well, SIG or a real gun with a relatively high cover but Strike One is currently the lowest-axis gun tube / grip on the world. This significantly reduces the recoil when firing tubes, because the lever arm through which it operates momentum considerably shorter, and arms control easier.Lower, gradually shaped cover, meaning fewer materials and less moving mass, and makes it work much faster cycle and fire the next shot. This was achieved through a unique locking solution pipes. Although this method of locking may be somewhat comparable to the more than century old construction Louis Schmeisser (gun Bergman – Mars), this is an original solution that is patent protected in over 60 countries. The system is simple, and the main feature is completely rectilinear motion tubes without any rotation or vertical deflection.
A key part of the breech block is a block that is a vertical slider Y shape, mounted under the barrel in front of the breech. Y-upper part comprises a long, cold forged pipe from below, while entering the vertical grooves on both the inside cover. Through an arched opening in the bottom of the slider passes diagonally bolt (which also disassembles weapon). When firing, the whole set of covers and pipes moving backwards, while pin in arc channel does not compel a slider / lockable block, to be let down by approximately 4 mm lower and thus allowed to cover itself keeps moving backward, pushing fired cartridge chamber. Besides rectilinear motion tubes allows tighter tolerances and greater precision, short stroke and a very small mass zabravljujućih moving parts, contributing to faster cycle locking, quieter operation and easier control of arms, and the effective rate of fire at Strike One almost twice the Glock (although this information obtained in the booth manufacturer, seems a bit excessive). All metal parts are made of viskokvalitetnog 42CrMo4 steel surface nitrided to a hardness of 75 HRc, and guarantee covers 50,000 rounds without changing the functionality of arms. Facilitates rapid overloading the handgun Strike One

Since the tube during its short rectilinear motion all the time dependent on the inner guides, the accuracy is increased proportionately. Osa tube placed just above the handle 12 mm, allows the introduction of rectilinear round into the chamber, so there is no risk of deformation of grain or delays, because the transverse shots, no matter how many missiles leveled top. External extractor is a powerful and wide and tight seating of the breech area opening to eject shells, preventing contaminants from entering. Although the manufacturer boasts small size holes, which apparently contributes to the structural firmness sleeves, this is a critical point because of the potential of possible delays. Most treatment for competition and combat weapons entails enlarging and polishing of the opening. Mechanical tombstones were in sight, and the line of sight is extremely long, because the rear sight is set back quite on the plate which closes the cover from the back side. The center is also a hole for the indicator needle tension mechanism, which can be felt in the dark.
The lower part of the gun at the customer’s choice, made of aluminum alloy or polymer in three colors (black, green and beige). The trigger – cap down

But the trigger for Strike One is completely linear, continuous power with a sharp, shot at the end of the trajectory. At the booth “ Arsenal Firearms exhibited another interesting modification labeled LRC (Long Range Conversion – long-range conversion). In essence, the manufacturer has decided to seize the opportunities rectilinear motion tubes and tight tolerances, and offered very long (over 300 mm) pipe, with precision-engineered upgrade ergal aluminum alloys, which are fixed to the frame, the pistol over Picatinny rails. The tube is on the outside facilitated longitudinal grooves, and regardless of the claims that it facilitates cooling, it is unlikely that these weapons will ever have such an intense fire regime. The mass of the tube and so. tunnel with Picatinny rails on all four sides is 650 grams including folding legs with five positions to mount. It provides the capability to assemble various optoelectronic tombstones, powerful spotlights for hunting and similar equipment, because this length tube provides effective range of about 200 meters.
The new gun is a fascinating weapon, with great potential and original construction that, at least at first glance, brings solutions to some problems with the classical models. Sales began in September 2012, and in all probability will rule great interest. The company promises that the price will be competitive ‘Glock’ but it does not guarantee that the required amount to be really small, because the notion of competitiveness is very flexibly interpreted. In any case, we want to try it out on the firing line, confirm or deny the promise of superior performance.
