S-400 originally called S-300PMU3 is the last of the S-300 series. Turkey previously bought Kornet anti tank systems from Russia back in 2008. Russia transitions to S-500 which is a new generation system like T-14 is a new generation system compared to T-90 which is originally called T-72BU. So S-400 and T-90 have become available for export.

Many issues were discussed, S 400 delivery was on of them. Nuclear reactor and gas pipeline were other issues.

Because they are the ones who sign the contract? news agency is not a source, news agencies are tools to connect sources to citizens. Secretary of defense in the other hand, is the source of information.
