Russia supports UN documents on Kashmir

Islamabad, February 13 (KMS): Mr Anton Chenov, the First Secretary in the Embassy of Russinan Federation in Islamabad has said that the Federation supports the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN documents.

Mr Anton told this while replying to a question asked by the APHC-Ajk leader, Syed Muhammad Abdullah Gilani, at a seminar organized by the Muslim Institute in Islamabad, yesterday. He emphasized that the Russian Federation had never adopted Indian stance on Kashmir.

The seminar was held on the topic of Prospects of Pak-Russia Relationship and the speakers included Shibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Dr Muhammad Khan, Air Marshal (Retd) Masood Akhtar and Ambassador Khalid Khatak. The event was presided over by Mr Akram Zaki, former Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan.

On topic @ Neither has India said UN resolutions are irreverent. What India says is that Shimla supersedes UN resolutions. Even UN made is clear that unless both India and Pakistan both agree UN cannot intervene in a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan.
