The 9K113 Konkurs (NATO code AT-5 Spandrel) is Russian-made Semi-automatic command to line of sight (SACLOS) wire-guided anti-tank missile. The missile was designed and developed by the Russian Defense Company KBP (Konstruktorskoe Buro Priborostroeniya). The 9K113 Konkurs is designed to engage moving and stationary armoured targets provided with explosive reactive armour (ERA) protection. The Konkurs system can be carried by tracked or wheeled armoured vehicle. The 9K113 was introduced in the Russian army in 1977. The missile was seen for the first time during a military parade in Moscow, mounted on a BRDM-2 4x4 armoured vehicle.

why to induct 2nd gen missile when we already build 3rd gen. Nag

. .
We already had 15000+ of this kind in 2012,and another 10000 were on order in 2012.

If 7000 delivered, another 3000 yet to be delivered. The deal was worth 250 million dollars.
Its main speciality is effectiveness against ERA. It can penetrate 800mm of ERA.

why to induct 2nd gen missile when we already build 3rd gen. Nag

Its cheap and very effective. So effective and cheap that last year even Russia received 300 launchers and many missiles.

.
Its an old news and Konkurs is an old system, IA already have much superior KORNET in active service.
