Russia seeks to buy gas turbine from Iran

. . .
Considering eu sanctions:
If Iran delivers these system we can conclude that 100% of it is produced in Iran since Germany cannot participate in this deal.

If the deal goes through and Iran is able to in timely fashion deliver and assist Russia for future maintenance and spare parts, then you are witnessing a new export player in this market.

It is also interesting to see the final price and compare to existing Siemens alternatives.

There are many ifs here, which could essentially pave way for a new very big export market for Iran. Personally I have my doubts, but time will tell!

These turbines have been built and used in Iran, Iraq and Syrian power plants. I don't see any reason why they would not work for Russia.

As you mentioned, it is the start of a great era. Not only for Iran's exports but in a greater skim for the world's economical and political order. This is the first time that countries that have been sanctioned by West are coming together and fill each other's short comings.

If it continues, and the rest of the world witness, then a new block will take shape in front of West. One that is made of different nations with different back grounds and beliefs and resourceful enough to produce their own products and answer their own needs.

That is correct. However if there could have been doubts regarding Siemens level of participation when selling to Iraq or Syria, there could be no doubt in the case of a possible sale to russia.

If the deal is successful the conclusion is that mapna is completely detached from Siemens, be it technological wise or legal wise. So I stand by my earlier comment that this sale alone, if successful, will be a break through.

. . .
I hope MAPNA utilities this golden opportunity.
Recently i heard Russia has retreated from this contract which was signed with MAPNA and ordered them from Siemens company instead.

Apparently these sanctions will not let Russia to deal with Siemens and maybe MAPNA's contract with Russian company will be revived. Probably

The goal is heavy turbofan...
Amir,
I think Turbo jet has some unknown benefits that Russian scientists have equipped SU-30 SM version with heavy Turbo jet engines. If i'm not wrong, SU-30 in it's latest version SM uses heavy Turbo Jet engines.

Well, sorry but you are wrong. The Su-30SM uses a variant of the AL-31 afterburning turbofan.

The only use for turbojets in modern warfare is short/medium range cruise missiles, as they don't need to be particularly efficient, and that they are cheap. In long range cruise missiles, when range (efficiency) is needed, and cost is lessb important, turbofans are used. Our own 2000 km range Soumar LACM uses a turbofan, but our 300 km range Qader ASHM uses a turbojet.

Turbofans are superior to turbojets in every performance aspect.

Does the reheated mean Turbofan?!!! Or does it make a turbojet, a turbofan?

Something about the FP variant of AL 31 engine :

Apparently Indian websites are wonderfully interested in it, since all of my found sources about FP were Indian

Reheated means it has an afterburner. airforce-technology isn't a great source, though by "by-pass" I think it means it is a turbofan.

I can 100% guarantee you that the AL-31 is a turbofan.

The AL-31FP is an improved export variant of the basic AL-31F variant, with thrust vectoring.

.
f..k Siemens, Russia is capable producing its own gas turbines....they will be cheaper and better..

A bypass turbojet engine means it's a turbofan.
