And that is true. They are not terrorists rather freedom fighters and need our support. Two entities in middle east that qualify as terrorists are ISIS and Israel.

My comment was in reference to Russian support to Iran which is the primary supporter of Hezbollah. India has excellent relations with both Russia & Iran.

Iran is small and weak compared to Russia. The weak become proxies of the strong. That's how the world works.

Geographically speaking, Iran is not small. You do know how big is Israel and how much influence they have.

Israel only has some influence in the US because the US only trusts Israel in the entire ME. Iran is small compared to Russia. Less than 10% the size of Russia.

How does the size of the country matter? Just look at the geographic size of Japan and the size of it's economy.

Hypothetically speaking, even if Iran dismantles all it's military, it would still command influence among the Shia followers of the world. There is more to influence than just military power.

Islam is an Arab creation plus the center of Shia is in Iraq that's where Husayn was martyred. Clerics from Iraq and Lebanon converted Iran to Shia.

Iraq has the most influence on Shia. Shia come to Najaf and Karbala for pilgrimage, not to Iran.
