Russia: S-300 air defense system has been delivered to Syria
[Text / Observer Network Blocking Open Source] Reuters reported on October 2 that Russian Defense Minister Shoygu reported to President Putin at a meeting broadcast on Russian 24-TV station that he had completed the delivery of the S-300 air defense system to Syria.
According to reports, Shoygu said that "the relevant work was nearing completion one day ago" and added that the system will be used to protect Russian military personnel in Syria.
Russian TV broadcasted a meeting held by Putin and Shoygu on the same day. The transfer of the S-300 system to Syria by the Shuigu report was completed one day ago (October 1).
Russia’s delivery of the S-300 missile to Syria was decided after Israel’s airstrikes against Syria, which launched a missile attack on a Russian aircraft that killed 15 people.
In response to this delivery, Israeli Education Minister Bennett first responded in an Israeli radio interview: "We have not changed the strategic bottom line against Iran," he said: "We will not allow Iran to open its third to Israel. Frontline, we will take action when necessary."
US State Department spokesman Heather Nuert said that he could not confirm whether the S-300 had been delivered.

"I can't confirm whether this news is accurate. I hope they haven't." She made the above statement in the case that Shojgu made the above report before the TV publicly announced the news. She said: "I I believe that this will make the problems and concerns about Syria more serious, and I can’t confirm it now."
