I don't think this is bluff tho they are nervous of the incursion into the east by the US who have sort like reinvented themselves there as their new location and home base

Annexing Crimea is the maximum provocation that he could do.. really that is it. Anything more than that e.g. bringing troops into Eastern Ukraine is off limits. The US and the EU already threatened to destroy Russian economy if they invade Ukraine, and that only forced Putin to back off. While CIA and US soldiers crawl in Ukraine and are present on the Russian borders. Putin has US soldiers as his neighbor now and that to me, is a failure in leadership.

The encroachment has happened sometime ago and He was not paying attention in the last 2 decades not realizing to the extent the incursions on the Russian borders occured and how significiant it was. They should have stopped the US from entering the baltic states, Poland and Romania long time ago.. Specifically the baltics they are in the suburbs of St.Petersbourg. I do believe they will try to atleast remove them from Poland, the baltics states including Ukraine whether it will succeed or not is up for debate
