Russia confirms first meeting between Putin and Kim 'in preparation'

Russia Monday confirmed that the first-ever meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) counterpart Kim Jong Un is in preparation, said Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a press conference.

"I can confirm that preparations for the meeting are underway, we have been talking about it for quite a while," Peskov told reporters without giving specific information on the date or place of the meeting.

Republic of Korea's (ROK) Yonhap news agency reported earlier Monday that the meeting is likely to be held next week in Vladivostok, when Putin is on his way to the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to be held in Beijing on April 26-27, said the source familiar with this matter.

Kim Jong is such an interesting character if there was ever one. Supreme leader Supreme chairman Supreme representative Supreme everything... For a relatively small thing NK has successfully managed to coerce the US and Russia and other major world powers and make them play on his terms, while maintaining a hostile nuclear aggressive-anti-power-anti-cooperation-anti-order disruptive stance and without any real recourse or punishment from anyone. Its an interesting case of supreme-endgame, and that's unheard of!

Well, Kim had a choice. Either give up nukes and end up like Qaddafi/civil war in Libya or make nukes and survive.
