[Terminal X Desk] - Russia has agreed to provide Mi-35 attack helicopters to Pakistan and has further extended an invitation to Islamabad for participation in the next round of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
According to details, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz and informed about him about Russia's decision in this regard. While lauding Russia's decision, Sartaz Aziz said that there is a large concensus among Pakistanis to improve relations with Russia. He also expressed that Russia would also fulfill "other needs" of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Sergei Lavrov said that positive dialogue between Pakistan and India is much needed for the betterment of the region. He also extended Pakistan with an invitation to attend the upcoming SCO conference in Tajikistan in September 2014.
