Rugby - Why is not Pak playing this game

Man, Pak has well built young men, why does this sports not take hold or played.

With the Rugby world cup in in Japan. Amazing to see underdogs like Japan play really well; outside that there is hardly any Asian presence except for Japan/Russia.

Of course powerhouses RSA/NZ/England are there already; I really see no reason why this sport cannot take hold.

I guess the colonials didn't bring Rugby to these shores, instead Cricket was introduced and adopted.

Bigger question is, why don't we play football. Next to zero interest in Pakistan, well, when I was growing up.

This really is a mans sport. The ground is a battlefield where warriors collide like gladiators. Only thing missing is axes, blades, swords. Crushed bones, cracking ribs and guts.

Rugby is played in Pakistan and it’s team participates internationally. Also played in Army especially SSG because of the SAS connection. Just google Pakistanrugbyunion plus a whole bunch of videos on YouTube

Pakistani Pehalwan, groups have the same body as needed by Rugby players but the issue is cultural exposure
Rugby was never introduced properly

Also, the hard-hitting Rugby style results in injuries and inexperienced players are bound to injure more

Second sport which resembles Rugby is Kabadi
Involves dodging and evasion and agility, apart from a big Physique

Kabadi players are also built like Rugby players



There is less runnnig in Kabaddi but , people still have to constantly keep moving



Rugby is combination of grapping / throws , and Kabadi which involves evasion and agility / running

The only difference is a rugby ball


Technically the Kabadi players can be used to play rugby if Pakistan ever wanted the team to play Rugby
