TAXILA: Upgraded production facility of Al-Khalid 1 Tank at Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). Robotic Welding Machines were also installed to weld the hull of Al-Khalid 1 Tanks .

İ like how brits says bloody hell. While back a family friend visited and kept saying it. İt was quite amusing.

What advantage does this offer to HİT?
Will it speed up the number of tanks produced in a year?
I think it will but then money is always the problem they had ability to produce 40 tanks but could build only 20 because of budget restraints

Automation meants they can be built faster, and to a higher quality standard and each tank will be the same as the previous which makes the build process easier. They will not make the tanks any cheaper as the labour rates in Pakistan is low, and the cost of automatiom machines are very high.

There is a lot more automation that can be added.

I look at the example of automation in the manufacturing of cars

Good Initiative , should transfer more Tech for Robotics to Pakistan
Should be done on industrial scale , just scrap up Steeles Mills and Setup a Robotic , Factory for Military goods
