Retired Lieutenant-Colonel mocking deaths of Pakistanis drowned in Greece

This just goes to show yet again the mentality of the officer class of the army.

Until the army occupying our country is not defeated and dismantled we will never be free.
They see themselves above the issues of the common man.
That is why civilian governance is paramount

Oky asim munier and janam' s pond fish..

(Yawn)

You sound like a broken record...

I had call from Pakistan. I dont know where did he get my number. Gentleman asked for investment in Pakistan. I told no investment in zardari buttoo shiref an anajam nadeem asim miunor's Pakistan. Next day kawja arami barked on abroad living pakistanis

Damn.

So feisty, eh?!

That is why civilian governance is paramount

You're living in fool's paradise if you think Imran Khan's government was, in fact, a civilian rule, heh!

.
But he is asking a legitimate question about the wisdom of giving 2.2 million to young men for cost of smuggling. It is not poor people who shell out 2.2 million in cash. The people who are financing this risky enterprise know what they are enabling. Also, the magic of travelling out of the country without a passport seems a bit mysterious.

Because those 2.2 million will be worthless in a few months the way inflation is running wild under the auspices of Mil-establishment's economic superstar team led by the venerable Munshi Dar...

I understand what you mean, MJ. It's not the time to preach family planning.

But neither it's the time to talk politics or play the blame game, now is it?

The bitter reality is that no one cares about the people who lost their lives in the incident. The Greek coastguards made no effort to save the drowning people. The overseas Pakistanis are pointing fingers at the establishment and using the incident as leverage to peddle their agenda on social media.

What else, even the traffickers are pleading not guilty.

...

Smell the ashes of human society... and yes, I'm a part of it.

I'm very much self-aware!

While absolutely tragic - and in essence a lot of people to blame for it including the ones who are responsible for the condition of Pakistan’s economy to the smugglers to the greek authorities.

There are three factors to consider in the overall view of the tragedy:

1. Even India with its starstruck economy has illegal migrants using mexico and canada trying to come to the US and other avenues to the west

2. As a legal migrant, I abhor illigal migrants because criminals do use them as cover to cross in. So the same applies to Europe - they have any and all rights to prevent migrants from coming in illegally especially after Germany and others screwed up other states with their refugee policies.

3. Be it the institutional maliase of the establishment and the brown gora mentality, their alliance with the feudals and long term business elite club - or the variety of factors that have left Pakistan pretty much a failed state and economy trundling along - the desperation that has been created has been amplified so the business of these smugglers.

The retd colonel has been fairly apathetic to the situation and is blaming the result and not the cause(lack of opportunity at home) - but at the end the desperate avenue these people chose is both legally wrong and extremely dangerous. Both with their associated risks and results

Unfortunately that this Col. got born.

But witness how sensitive are soldiers towards the people of Pakistan.
Most are very sensitive - it seems in the polarization no one wants to turn their brains on.

The soldiers are from Pakistan, and are Pakistanis - so at the end this particular col represents a mentality which is part of many Pakistanis

Things aren't bad they're worse.

Inflation, political instability, declining economic outlook, and withdraw.

Of course I made a disclaimer - I am not in Pakistan

If you publish that location, others can also be there and get a good view.
That was a nice one. I fell out of my chair laughing

Pakistan could use some family planning. I do not why you wait for the government on such matters

Napak army has major cut in this fiasco. Itna bara budget phir bi so many people are illegally trafficked.

He's under the impression that all those who died in the boat came from families with large numbers of siblings.

Like Imran Khan says
وہ زیادہ پڑھے لکھے نہیں ہیں

Check out the moronic replies he wrote here

Not everyone is privileged to adopt legal ways.
dude, not supporting the colonel's jibe or anything, but the illegal way also costs millions of rupees. they could have used that much money to adopt the legal way.

Two of my employees in Karachi that run financial analysis and other things are MBAs from Pakistan. They graduated ten years ago and said if I didn't employ them, they would still be unemployed, as even while working with me, they've been searching for jobs and found nothing that can allow them to meet their basic needs.

For one of them, his parents have been suffering from medical issues; his father has kidney issues and is diabetic, and the mother has diabetes and recently broke her hip while she fell. Their four brothers were still short on funds for the surgery, and I provided the needed funds to carry it out. I give extra for their medications.

Recently, I've given him money to get his visa and tickets and search for a job in Dubai to increase his income while still working for me. If it works out, I want him to find a place for the other employee and others and shift them out of Pakistan. In the meantime, I'm working with a close business associate whose sister is married to a Qatar ambassador to see if we can get some asylum visas and shift some people to Qatar, where they can earn, live and educate their kids.
