Rehman Malik orders release of two Swedish national

ISLAMABAD: Ulrika Sundberg, Ambassador of Sweden called on Federal Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik here in the Parliament Chamber on Wednesday.

Private TV Channel while quoting the diplomatic sources said that during the meeting, Ulrika Sundberg requested Interior Minister for the release of the Swedes arrested in Pakistan on suspicion of terrorism.

The Interior Minister assured her every possible help and ordered release of the two persons among the seven arrested on the suspicion of terrorism. These two person include a women a her child.

Rehman Malik said that Swedish embassy will make all arrangements itself for the return of two release persons. Ulrika Sundberg, Ambassador of Sweden thanked Rehman Malik.

Is Rehman Malik authorized agent of Iftikhar Chaudry?

Why dont the US never apply the same logic and release Dr Afia.

Anyways in my opinion Rehman Malik is a no body to release anyone untill due course of justice has been exhausted.

I agree... in Switzerland local policemen arrested son of Qaddafi and his wife because there servant logged complain that he shouted at them!
Both Prince and Princes were holding diplomat passports but policemen ignored it also and later Swiss govt. supported the act of policemen saying no one is above the law.

In this particular case Swiss were on wrong footing because they cannot send a person to jail if he is holding a diplomatic passport not to mention king of an important state.

P.S. Same Swiss reversed there court ruling on Zardari upon dictation of US.
