Razer updates Lancehead wireless mouse with double the battery life, more precise sensor

Double the battery life and a more precise sensor make this update a significant one.

What you need to know

Razer has launched a big update to its wireless Lancehead mouse.

The refreshed mouse nearly doubles the battery life to 50 hours and adds the same 16,000 DPI 5G optical sensor used on Razer's flagship mice.

The new Razer Lancehead wireless mouse is available now for $140.

Razer fans have a new accessory to ogle with the refreshed Lancehead wireless mouse. The updated model makes a couple of key changes while retaining the same design and adaptive frequency tech that made the previous iteration attractive to gamers.

The main upgrade here is that the new Lancehead wireless mouse includes the same 16,000 DPI 5G optical sensor that Razer uses on the DeathAdder Elite and its other flagship mice, the company says. That should translate to more accurate and precise handling.

The other big change is to battery life. Razer claims that it has nearly doubled wireless battery life on the new Lancehead. When starting from a full charge, that should mean up to 50 hours of use before you have to top back up.

Of course, as a Razer peripheral, the Lancehead packs in Chroma RGB lighting that can be customized using the company's Synapse 3 software.
