I was watching Khabarnak Show and today's guest was Abdullah Gul a think tank specialist, also a s/o Gen Hamid Gul rtd, where he discloses that Raymond David was in fact nuclear mapping areas around military installations in search for nuclear sites, and ISI had been tailing him along with other CIA agents who had been on a secret covert mission to steal all the 79 nuclear eggs. However the mission failed miserably after his arrest and detention, and ISI chief Shuja Pasha flew to the US where Gen Patreaus offered an apology as the covert opp had been planned under McCrystal's leadership.

Abdullah Gul further made several accusations on the current military as well as civilian leadership of making verbal promises and deals with the US in darkness that are largely unknown. He's asked them to come forward and its time the public must be made aware.

Nothing good is expected from this nefarious government. But How true are his allegations? and to what extent is the military involved?

If it is true, then how can the military be so incompetent and criminally negligent that it had been hiding the true face of Raymond Davis and his covert mission?

Any think tank members here to shed some light on the issue?

the GoP was not very keen on advertising after realizing what has started as consensual had now become rape.

Mr Abdullah Gul being a son of previous ISI chief should know that not every Army/intelligence deal can be made public . i have no idea how such people can join Think Tanks when they cannot even analyse pro & cons of Military agreements .

What people do to just get attention & publicity . . unbelievable.

US targeting Army, ISI to get to nukes

ISLAMABAD: Pak nukes are Washington’s real pain. The road of every frustrated offensive launched by the US against Pakistan leads to the possible achievement of the very evil design of disarming the only nuclear capable Muslim state. Washington can’t stomach the nuclear capable Pakistan.

Irrespective of what the US harps on, despicable incidents like May 2, the memogate, Kerry Lugar Act and Nov 26th US-led Isaf-Nato attack on Pak troops in Mohmand Agency are all parts of CIA’s greater plan to deprive Islamabad from its prized arsenal.

As per the US plan, to get to the nukes, the Pakistan defence forces and the ISI are required to be discredited first. Presently, all the thwarted maneuvers of the Americans, including a few mentioned above, are focused on this very point — weaken and discredit Pakistan’s defence forces and the ISI, and demoralise the people of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s successive political and military leadership has never been in any doubt about Washington’s real design but the series of recent events have proved one thing — the US is really frustrated now. They want to do something really mischievous before leaving Afghanistan.

The US and Zionist lobbies have been after Pakistan’s nuclear programme ever since Zulfikar Ali Bhutto decided to launch and develop it. Bhutto was though made an example, despite all pressures, aid cuts and international propaganda Pakistan not only became a nuclear power but developed its programme remarkably, far better than some others included in the nuclear club of seven.

Pakistan’s nuclear programme remained the exclusive domain of the military establishment and for the same reason thick layers of secrecy have always been erected around this particular area that no one even knew what Pakistan possesses, what it has developed, how many nukes or the smart tactical devices it has already made and more importantly where do these nukes are stored.

It is said that the levels of secrecy in Pakistan’s nuclear programme are such that there is not even one single person here who can claim that he knows everything about the nukes.

Despite many efforts, the enemies of Pakistan badly failed to penetrate into the secrets of Pakistan’s nuclear field. All their propaganda to prove the nuclear programme as being unsafe or to malign it by linking it to the global underworld and terrorists, have not worked either.

In these situations, the only option left with Washington and the CIA is to aggressively target the Pakistan Army and ISI so that the guardians of Pak-nukes are weakened, unnerved and discredited to pave the way for the achievement of its real goal.

Americans may be thinking of getting success in their dirty maneuvers but they perhaps don’t realise that Pakistan’s nuclear programme is the pride of every member of Pakistani society. People here would continue raising questions about the failures of our military establishment and the ISI but the nation stands united with its soldiers and intelligence establishment when it comes to foreign aggression.

Public rhetoric apart, the Americans are neither interested in peace in Afghanistan nor a stable Pakistan. Every peace agreement that was struck or successfully negotiated with Taliban by the Pakistani authorities after 9/11 to ensure peace here was strongly opposed and militarily sabotaged by the Americans to fuel unrest and cause instability within Pakistan.

The other day, the Director General Military Operations in his news briefing did not answer the question when asked what the US really wanted to achieve from the recent Isaf-Nato attack but he had no doubt that it was a pre-planned US-led operation against two Pakistani Army posts, which were established there not to counter Isaf-Nato forces but only the insurgents.

Pakistan has been defrauded yet again. Assessing each incident like Nov 26th, May 2nd and the memogate in isolation would not mean anything. Only after taking the holistic view of what the US is and has been doing to Pakistan, particularly during the last 10 years, a comprehensive strategy could be devised to effectively counter the move and maneuvers of enemy No1 of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
