LAHORE: Leader-in-hiding of Jeay Sindh Mutahhida Mahaz (JSMM), Shafi Burfat, has warned of "dire consequences" in case Thomas Kramer goes ahead with the massive development project in Sindh that aims to build the country's first 'Island City' off the coast of Karachi.

Following are the status updates from Shafi Burfat's official Facebook page:
"I warn to the American company that they must give the intention for buying the island of Sindh if any one who will be against our rights then such persons will have to face the dire consequences We will not bear to snatch our resources. Shafi Muhammad Burfat' Chairman JSMM" [Reference]

"I hereby warn the American companies those who has purchased the Islands in Sindh, review their decision if any company works against our interests then they will have to face resistance and we will never tolerate this robbery at any cost. (Via Comrade Shafi Burfat)"

To be noted that Shafi Burfat has been in hiding since many years now. Pakistan's Law Enforcement Agencies gathered incriminating evidence which convict him of being an asset for the Indian intelligence agency RAW. Although there were speculations that he has been hiding in Afghanistan under the protection of the numerous Indian consulates, some security officials believe Burfat might be at a remote location in north-western Sindh.

In the past, this Indian-sponsored separatist movement was already caught planning destruction of PARCO pipelines in Sindh and has been convicted for involvement in various acts of terrorism across the Sindh province of Pakistan.
