KARACHI: Police on Monday arrested an alleged agent of the Indian intelligence agency (RAW) and recovered fake CNICs, computers and some other material from his possession.
The Station House Officer of Baghdadi Police Station, Munir Hussain Chandio, said that the police on a tip-off about a man who had links with RAW raided a house off the G. Allana Road in Baghdadi and arrested Syed Alam.
The police also recovered three fake Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), an Indian passport, a computer and some aphrodisiacs.During the investigation, the accused told the police that he had come to Karachi from Uttar Pradesh in India in 1993 and settled in Lyari.
He said he had been making and selling aphrodisiacs for over a decade. SHO Chandio said that the accused had been handed over to the Foreign Security Cell of the Special Branch of the Sindh Police.
