Do you know why us eliminated him?
Because he was weak.
It is rule of the world that bigger fish would eat smaller fish... Only fit would survive in the survival of the fittest.
When 2 people fight one is sure to loose ....
Rather then weeping about past or why some country eliminated Muslim leaders because of this and that reason etc think about the true reason that they don't survive the fight and were lost in the histroy books...

.
that is one reason that he was weak but today uae and other gcc are also weak like him ,another reason was that he acted against u.s interests and had a potential to challenge israel existence in future which many rich arab countries lack today. He was weak but had courage and dignity

He dragged the country to shit with bad decisions, his charisma doesn't make up for bad decisions. Fat short bald Abadi (previous Iraqi prime minister carries none of that charisma but he made good decisions and pulled the country out of shit during a crisis time). That's more important, the leader is temporary and we do not need his statue and personality embedded in the nation, state, currency and everywhere else.

he lived like lion and followed words of tipu sultan which are it is better to live a single day like lion than to live hundred years like jackal

Yes he lived like a 'lion', in a palace whilst the masses of Iraqis, like my parents were on the frontlines and suffered the consequences for his lion ego with as result a destructed Iraq.

I know that you and many others in the middle east, Asia etc. look up highly to charisma, a 'strong' leader that goes against all and struggles. But the question is, does that improve a country? No, it drags a country to shit and that's the only fact of Saddam's "strategic governance", a failure in governance which his charisma does not make up for.

Saddam adopted the personality of a military leader whilst not being military, he used hard power in a position where one should apply soft power. Negotiation and political rule includes comprises, when it does not work and has to escalate to military means then that general can deploy his harsh brutal rhetoric. Saddam applied it everywhere, as a result you can see what happens.

They know that and they always keep themselves in line and they survive and even thrive.....

You should read some history...specially of Saddam's relations with Pakistan. But regarding life of a lion you do know he was found hiding in a hole trying to live a few days more?

An Iraqi kurd here in Germany once told me that Iraq before 1991 was like a heaven for most of Iraqis even for Iraqi kurds also, he said they used to have nice cars/houses and good roads and many balkan europeans used to come to Iraq to work. But he said then this stupid saddam hussain invaded kuwait for no reason and f***** up the country and made every country enemy of Iraq particularly US, eve. That iraqi kurd guy told me look at us now we are doing menial work in europe living as refugees even though before 1991 many europeans (yogoslav, bulgarians, romainains) used to work in our country.

The country was doing great pre-1980 especially (pre-Saddam), some of the best hospitals and universities in the region with Arabs from all over the Arab world coming to Iraq to study. A nuclear reactor in the 70's with research being conducted and local industries booming. If it had proper leadership (not Saddam) they would still be among the leading countries in the ME.

But most people are sort sighted and are blinded by emotion, thus a figure like Saddam captures their eyes. Good for speeches, good for rallying up anger and motivation for war but unfit for leadership given his bad decisions
